1930s Vintage Art Deco Elephant Silver Plate Trinket, Powder/Makeup Box AMAZING. This is an extremely rare and stunning vintage Art Deco Weidlich Bros. Silver plated elephant compact beauty box or jar.

Most of my research states this is from 1930's. I did NOT try polishing or cleaning, it is heavily tarnished - still STUNNING. This piece is in very nice condition, with no dents, but it does have some tarnish and wear to the silver plate in areas. It has an Art Deco silver plated domed lid with an elephant handle. The silver-plated base has compartments for pressed rouge and powder; also wells for a lipstick and eyebrow pencil. The base is hallmarked Pat appl'd for U. This powder box is approximately 4 inches in diameter at the widest point, and over 3 1/2 inches in height from the base to the top of the elephant trunk.
