Hukin & heath edwardian silver plated powder jar with glass insert & tray, antique vanity dressing table box. A beautifully preserved edwardian dressing table powder jar by hukin & heath, combining elegant silver-plated mounts with hand-blown glass components.

Complete with its original matching tray, lid, lower powder reservoir and removable upper glass insert, this is a charming survivor from the golden age of the dressing table. The design is both practical and decorative. The lower glass compartment would originally have held loose face powder, while the removable upper glass insert provided a place for the powder puff, helping to keep the contents clean and organised. Today it makes a striking display piece for a vanity, dressing table or bathroom shelf. The silver-plated mounts are marked hh & s for hukin & heath, one of birmingham's respected makers of silver and silver-plated wares during the late victorian and edwardian periods.

Original hand-blown glass lower reservoir present. Original removable glass insert present. Silver plate remains in good condition with age-related wear and tarnish consistent with use. No chips to the glass, light marks on the silver plated lid.
