The hair receiver is in excellent condition and would make a great addition to any collection. Rose tapestry porcelain was made by the royal bayreuth factory of tettau, germany, during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The surface of the porcelain was pressed against a coarse fabric while it was still damp, and the impressions remained on the finished porcelain.
It looks and feels like a textured cloth. This item is made of ceramic, porcelain and linen.
