Edwardian Malachite and cut glass vanity jar with mirror c 1900, semi precious lucky stone

This gorgeous little cut glass jar will add a touch of vintage glamour to your dressing table. The silver metal lid is decorated with, what appears to be, a polished slice of malachite. The lid lifts to reveal a small bevelled mirror.

This antique cosmetics jar is in good used condition. The malachite is in very good condition. The bevelled mirror gives a clear reflection. The cut glass is in very good condition with small nibbles to the base. There is some discolouration around the neck of the jar.

During its long life, the lid looks to have lost its catch and has some scuffs and tarnish. It sits a little to one side when shut. Diameter of lid 2 1/2 or 4cm.
