Powder Box from Paris Vintage it held Coty Air Spun face powder Antique or Vintage T23

This lovely little round box once held coty air spun face powder. T's none of that left (you can still smell the remnants when you lift the lid), but what remains is a charming homage to the city of paris. All along the outside of the box are exquisite renderings of parisian scenes, including the arc de triomphe, notre dame, cleopatra's needle at the place de la concorde, and the river seine -- all depicted at twilight, with golden stars sprinkled in the sky. T's no artist credit, but t should be. The bottom says air spun coty poudre de beaute paris naturelle, along with the weight, 75 grams, and city of origin, new york.

The box measures 3.25 inches in diameter and is 1 5/8 deep. It's in wonderful shape, especially considering it appears to be simple cardboard, albeit with some kind of protective plastic coating. There is a rough spot very small in the plastic on the bottom edge, no other condition problems. It's really cool, especially for someone who loves paris or is a collector of vintage powder boxes.
