Vintage Powder Box Virginia's Hollywood Preparations Face Powder Unopened Art Deco 1930's 1940's Powder Box Rare Powder Box

Beautifully decorated face powder box, virginia's hollywood preparations, dating to the 1930's early 1940's. The lid and sides of the box are wrapped in gold coloured paper with a stylized female profile to centre in black outline. The box is packaged similar to war time face powder boxes with the circular opening to the base, covered in plastic. Product name label to base.

This was produced and distributed by virginia's hollywood preparations ltd, a company based in slough, bucks which went into liquidation in 1951. The label states 1936, so 1930's into the 1940's. The box base measures 6cms (2 3/8") and the lid section section measures 5cms (2") in diameter. The powder box is in good vintage condition, unused. The decoration is largely intact, just some light wear mainly to corners.
