Exquisite antique limoges enamelled circular bombe form powder box. The hinged lid finely hand painted with an idyllic scene of two women in 18th century dress in a romantic garden, one holding a dove, the border with roses and foliage, the base with a river landscape.

The interior and rim in gilded metal. The hinged lid with mirrored interior. The lid 5.5cm diameter. See boxes in the same hand signed l.

There is an area of crazing with a crack under the rim of the base and an area of fine cracks nearby also to the base. The area around the mirror with oxidisation. See further objects of virtue in my shop. This item is made of enamel and brass, copper, mirror.
