A stunning antique/vintage painted, poker work and pyrography round powder bowl/box dating from around the 1920's. Beautiful countryside scenes with house and windmill and floral painted lid. The knob of the lid is made from a hand painted celluloid head of a little boy - possibly made by the famous ebena factory.Inside the box is painted cream and has it's original and unused white swans down powder puff with blue silk and ivory celluloid handle. The box measures approx 4.5" diameter x 5.5" high including the handle.
The swans down puff measures approx 4" diameter x 1". The box is in excellent vintage condition with the usual small scrapes and knocks commensurate with age. There is some wear of paint to the head and he has a small scrape to his nose. The powder puff is in excellent unused vintage condition. This item is made of wood and celluloid, paint, swans down.
