Vintage Dupont Lucite Empire Grecian Beauty Covered Powder Box With Glass Insert

Vintage dupont lucite empire grecian beauty covered powder box with glass insert. What a cutie this was one time probably part of a full vanity set, but this piece is also a lovely standalone piece. It is octagon- shaped with 4 brass paws.

It features a grecian goddess inside a diamond shape of laurel branches. The edges trimmed in black and the lid has a fleur di lis finial. Also, amazingly, this piece has the original glass round insert. I can only describe the color of the glass insert as amber/ pink; it is also removable if you want. I wonder if that is where the puff went and the powder in the bottom, or if it all went in the top glass insert.

This piece measures about 4'' tall not counting the 1'' finial. The base is just a touch under 4'', not counting the brass feet with stick out wider than the base. The piece is in good condition overall. The glass insert has no chips or cracks. The lucite just shows minimal age- related wear, except one panel has a brown spot and some cloudy marks see pics #8, 10. At the last moment, i noticed a small chip out of the black trim on the edge of the lid. It's pretty unnoticeable, i guess that's why i almost missed it see pic #9.
