Vintage Yogya Djokja Silver Powder Box with Mirror, 800 1000, Handcrafted with Oriental Flowers and Foliage, Collectable, Gift

Vintage indonesian yogya/djokja silver powder box with mirror in the lid. The original oxidation is intact and typifies this unique type of silverware. It is a stunning handcrafted piece decorated with a wealth of oriental foliage and flowers. Yogya/djokja silver items were prolifically made in jakarta, java, from the 1930's onwards and into the 1960's. On the back is stamped s and below that 800 (see photo).

This means that the silver content is 800/1000. The silversmith/creator of this case is s. What i could find out about "s" is that it possibly stands for "tom's silver"; from the 1890's onward. The box is in good condition. The mirror has a few age related spots (see photos).
