1920s E and JB Empire Art Gold Ormolu JEWELED Dresser Powder Box Trinket Box Vanity Jar, Antique Art Deco Jeweled Gold Metal Jewelry Box

A 1920s e & jb empire art gold ormolu jeweled powder dresser box decorated with prong and bevel set green glass rhinestones and guilloché enamel. Their business went under due to the depression. This lovely dresser box was made to hold powder but could be used as a small jewelry box as well. The lid is covered with prong and bevel set green glass rhinestones, and there's a green guilloché enamel bevel set round disc in the center of the lid. There are no missing rhinestones. It's in very nice condition other than normal darkening to the ormolu gilded metal - particularly to the lid.

It's a hinged box, and the hinge is in very nice working condition. The glass interior cannot be removed. While the glass is intact with no cracks/breaks, there's a tiny dark spot on the glass and a little discolored area to the right - see photo #8 - all pretty insignificant.

The box is marked empire art gold e. On the inside of the lid. 2.25 inches high x 3.75 wide. The round glass inset has a diameter of 3.75 and a depth of 1 inch. This item is made of metal and glass, guilloché enamel, green glass rhinestones.
