1930 s French Powder Box Poudre Figene Grasse Paris Romantic Boudoir

Rare 1930's french face powder by figene. Poudre de riz round french powder box. This is in very good condition for its age. There are age spots and some minor staining to the container. This is still full of face powder, which actually still smells really lovely it's a very pale beige pink color.

Poudre de riz was face powder made from rice powder. Given the qualities of rice powder, and that it was more expensive than other starches, using the term poudre de riz' on a powder box gave the product a certain cachet.

We love antique and vintage romantic cottage decor here at petite trousseau. This is special, and oh so lovely, and perfect as boudoir decor and of course a lovely collectible for your bedroom aesthetic.

I would not recommend using this it's for decorative purposes. Measures 2 3/4 inches across the top. This item is made of paper, powder and ink.
