Aluminum Dome Shaped Music Powder Box 1940's Dresser Accessory Working Condition
Dome shaped aluminum powder box that is also a music box. These were popular ladies dresser accessories in the 1940's and 1950's. The top lifts off to reveal a concave area to hold face powder and a puff. The center of the lid has the remnants of a victorian lady portrait. The domed outside of the music/powder box is a dark silver tone with gold trim on the lid.
It stands on three round wooden feet and is about 4 inches tall. The winding mechanism for the music box is on the underside and is in good working condition.
I can not identify the tune. This item is made of metal and wood.
