Antique 1893 Gorham Sterling Silver Glass Powder Jar Dresser Vanity Box 60g Lid

Up for sale is a beautiful antique Victorian sterling silver and wheel-cut glass powder / dresser jar made by the renowned Gorham Manufacturing Company. Hallmarks: Stamped with Gorham's lion, anchor, and Gothic "G", along with "STERLING" and model number "10 D". Date Code: Features the official Gorham axe/hatchet symbol designating 1893 production. Measurements & Weight: The sterling silver lid weighs approximately 68 grams.

Jar Measures approximately 4.25" Square and 3-1/2" tall. Design: The glass body features fine wheel-cut floral garlands and bow swags. The sterling lid displays detailed floral chase work with an elegant period monogram in the central cartouche. Overall very good antique condition consistent with age (1893). The glass is clear with crisp cuts. The sterling lid fits snugly with light surface wear/patina commensurate with a 130+ year old vanity piece. Please see photos for close-up details.
