Antique powder box featuring an elegant art nouveau design, adorned with intricate floral patterns. This vintage piece is labelled "three flowers face powder" and is a charming addition to any vanity or collection. Made in early 1920's by richard hudnut for new york and paris. Perfect for storing powder or small trinkets, this vanity box adds a touch of old-world charm to your dressing table. One top it shows a lady in waiting adjusting her lady's hair while the lady powders her face in the mirror.

The item is in pre owned condition from 1920's. From hudnut's wikipedia page. Richard alexander hudnut (june 2, 1855 october 30, 1928)(1) was an american businessman recognized as the first american to achieve international success in cosmetics manufacturing.

(2) the company once maintained separate us and european headquarters on fifth avenue in new york city and on the rue de la paix in paris, respectively. Although his fortune had been built around cosmetics and beauty products, he preferred to be known as a "perfumer".

Interesting side note: hudnut's stepdaughter married rudolph valentino. Only problem was that valentino wasn't divorced. It was quite the scandal. This item is made of paper.
