Here is a dainty half doll trinket box of a beautiful young woman wearing an iridescent blue and bright yellow gown with black bows. She has flowers in her hair and is holding a small floral bouquet and has a hat or purse attached to her other arm. You can see the numbers on the back of the bottom jar with the numbers 13316 and the marks of the german maker sitzendorf, see photo #8. She was made in the 1920s-30s. This piece is approximately 4" tall and 3 1/2" wide.
When i found this dainty piece, it had a lot of discoloration inside the top rim of the lady and inside the bottom jar. In cleaning her i discovered it was actually powder so the previous owner did use her for the original purpose to store a powder puff and possibly powder.
The powder jar/lady is in very good antique condition with only minor signs of age or use. I do not see any chips or cracks or loss of paint with the exception of a small "dip" in the back of her dress, see last photo. The small place is very smooth, an indication it was not chipped or broken. I believe this was made when it was being fired years ago. It does not deter from her beauty and uniqueness. This would make a very unique or eclectic decoration. This would look great on a dressing table or just as an unique decor piece. I try to provide an accurate description of each item and a description of any defects i detect. In addition i try to take photos from various angles so details may be seen. I do try to capture the color as true as possible, however computer monitors display colors differently as does the lighting when photographing the item. Please review the photos as they are part of my description and they show exactly what you will receive. Please check out the other items in my shop and thank you for looking.
