This listing is for a lovely small antique german made vanity powder dish, trinket jar. Made of porcelain and entirely hand painted. This figural versatile dish features a lovely edwardian/victorian style lady dressed in a pink dress.
It features a molded lace accent and her tiny pink shoe peeks out from beneath the hemline. She holds a fan in her right arm. She has short brown hair. She is a small piece but that didn't prevent the maker of this lovely piece from putting as much detail as possible into this lovely little lady. Incised with the mold number 3675 and marked gemany on the base.
She measures 4.25 inches tall and is just 2.24 inches across at wisest point on the base. This lovely piece comes from my private collection and is in excellent antique condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs to this antique piece. This lovely piece was manufactured 100+ years ago.
For the time period they were created in it is a wonder they even exist at all today. Fortunately there are others much like myself and my grandparents that treasured these items from the past and took such great care to preserve them. She is a lovely piece and the colors on her are vibrant and well preserved. These antique vanity dishes make great accent pieces. They are perfect for storing small items secretly and safely out of sight. This little lady would make a great place to keep your rings in or your favorite pair of earrings.
