Antique Germany Vanity Powder Trinket Jar, Colonial Lady with Fan, Elegant Dresser Jar, Collectible Vanity Dish, Half Doll Related

Up for your consideration is a lovely antique german vanity powder dish. Porcelain, hand painted and incised with the mold number 3387 and marked germany on the base.

This lovely victorian lady stands 6 inches tall. She would be perfect to store your rings, earrings or any other small objects in. She conceals them so they are hidden away and out of view and does this with a bit of elegance and décor style. A wonderful collectible item to add to your vanity or your half doll collection. I have one on my desk that i keep paper clips in and it works perfectly for this. There are so many uses for these wonderful pieces. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs.

A few minuscule rough areas on the inside inner rim which was done during manufacturing but aside from that this piece is pristine. This lovely victorian lady is dressed in a french blue gown with a soft baby blue inset at the front. Her sleeve ruffles are done in a yellow with a matching yellow bow at her low cut neckline. She holds a fan in her left hand and has grey hair and wonderfully painted facial features. One tiny blue shoe peeks out from beneath her gown.

This antique powder jar comes from my private collection which was amassed over 3 generations. All have been loving cared for. Not to mention that within the 3 generation collection there were many duplicates.

Please be mindful that each antique piece has led a previous life, and may tell its story through minor imperfections or wear from age and use. When these pieces were manufactured many, many decades ago the process along with the materials used were much different than those of today.

These slight variances and tell tale imperfections are what helps to date the piece as well as to tell the story of it's history. Small imperfections in the porcelain such as tiny black specks or tell tale mold lines are common. Not all pieces have these but in the event they do this is not uncommon and helps to date the item. It really should not be seen as an imperfection but rather as a sign of the times in which is was manufactured. If these small manufacturing details are an issue for you then perhaps antique items may not be for you.
