Available for your consideration is this beautiful antique jeweled powder jar or trinket jar. This jar was made in the 1920's. It's in excellent shape for being one hundred years old the top is decorated with four filigree medallions and both prong and bezel set rhinestones. The top has a handle with a green rhinestone. All of the rhinestones look to be original and look to be made of glass.
There is an overall etched pattern covering the lid and a repeating shell pattern around the side of the lid. The lid also has a raised ring around the edge of the lid comprised of leaves. The underside of the lid shows wear to the ormolu finish. The glass bottom has eight panels with an etched flower on each panel.
The lid is not marked, but could it be an unmarked empire art gold piece the bottom is in great condition as well as the lid it's a very beautiful piece that can be used as a powder jar or as a trinket jar. The bottom measures four and a half inches round. The overall height including the lid measures four and a half inches. This jeweled jar is perfect for a lady's vanity and is of excellent quality.
