Antique Pear-shaped Handpainted Opaline Glass Dresser Box

A fine opaline (likely french) glass box. In the stylized form of a pear. The white opalescent glass body and lid both have handpainted fruit and floral decoration rich gilding throughout.

Simply a wonderful dresser box. It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

There is some minor wear to the decoration here there, and some very, very light fritting to the lids rim. Otherwise, there are some fine light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Please see our other related items. Thanks for looking and good luck.
