Antique T and V France Round Lidded Tureen with Seashells circa 1914

This listing is for a lovely antique hand painted t & v france covered dish as shown in the photos. This covered dish is marked t&v france depose. It measures 8 1/2" from handle to handle and 6 3/8" across the rim. Without the lid in place, it's 3 3/4 tall.

With the lid, it measures about 4 1/2 to the top of the finial. The lid is 5 3/4 in diameter. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, or crazing.

This piece dates to 1914 and all the decoration was hand painted by the artist, n. The bottom of the piece is signed.

The lid is also signed with the date 1914. The interior of the dish is iridescent. The decoration includes a seascape in shades of blue and green with a variety of shells. It's absolutely beautiful and a wonderful example of the art nouveau design. Hallmarked on the bottom as shown; t&v france (tressemanes & vogt) and depose touraine. This item is made of porcelain and china, paint, limoges porcelain, t v france porcelain.
