Antique Vanity Jar Compact Hand Painted
This antique vanity jar was made in the mid 19th c. And is hand painted porcelain. Originally, it would have been used to hold creams or powders for the lady'of the manor'.

Today, it would be a beautiful trinket box on the dresser or vanity. The photos show that there is ware to the gold edging around the top and bottom of the lid.

There are small nicks, but not chips, in the apple green paint of the lid. These issues should be expected in an antique that is 150 years old and are commensurate with the age of the piece. It has a diameter of 3 1/2 inches and stands 1 1/2 inches tall.

This item is made of porcelain.
