The side edge of the lid is marked sterling, 925/1000 fine along with the mauser makers mark. Inside surface of the lid has a very light gold wash finish.
The jar is a tiny to small size measuring 1 3/8" across lid by 1 3/8" high with the lid on. The lid and the jar are both in very good condition for age. Nice aged patina on the silver lid.
Lid doesn't appear to have any major damage but does have a few tiny dings along the top edges. The glass appears the be in very good condition with only the normal tiny "flea bite" tips on the zipper cut edges. The inside base has two black marks which are rough to the touch. They are infused into the glass so it must have happened while is was being made. The glass is clear and clean.Really remarkable condition based on age of this beautiful jar perfect for collection, display or use. This item is made of 925 sterling silver. The style is cottage chic and victorian.
