ART DECO Miniature celluloid powder compact 1920s

The round box is made from ivory coloured celluloid and has a lid decorated with a relief of a woman's bust in profile. Her head is covered in an unusual soft cap/hat with four pointy ends , each end with a round red decoration. The portrait has painted details, light green for the hat, black for the hair and red for the lips. The edge if the lid is decorated with carnival masks in relief.

The bottom of the box is a light orange/pink colour. The box contains its original powder puff and remnants of the powder. The inside of the lid is lined with a mirror.

It is in very good vintage condition with only one issue, a crack on the side of the lid as shown on the fifth photo. It measures a little over 4 cm in diameter (1.57 inches) and is 2 cm (0.78 inches) thick. This item is made of celluloid and glass.
