Art Nouveau Sterling Silver and Cut Glass Repousse Powder Jar

Sterling silver lidded powder jar with cut glass base. The top of the jar is stamped with an "f" and sterling, see photo. The top and edges have a wonderful repousse relief work of a woman's profile, flowers, leaves and scrolls.

The cut glass base has a lovely star pattern on the bottom, a flat oval pattern around the sides with tiny cutouts in three groupings. The piece is well over a hundred years old and is in surprisingly good condition. The lid is in excellent condition. The glass jar has some rough spots and a couple of tiny chips.
