Circa 1930 s Ladies Dusting Powder in Art Deco Box

This is a circa 1930's -40's art deco designed octagonal shaped box of ladies dusting powder. This particular box features an art deco style sailboat in a pinkish felt material which was put over a cardboard box lid.

Both the lid and bottom of the box feature a textured squared design. The box is a white tone and has a gold bottom. One needs to flip the box over to open.

Under the top is kept the plush light blue puff which appears to have never been used. By lifting the bottom half off of the top, one will find the dusting powder contents. Although not sealed, it appears that little, if any, of this talcum powder was used. It has a very soft feminine scent. The inside of the box where the top and bottom sides are against one another when closed, does show a bit of wear to the surface. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful vintage box with lovely nostalgic scented talcum powder.
