DU BARRY BATH Powder Seven Winds With Puff 1950s Box

Du barry founded in 1903is is the oldest american cosmetic company. This romantic powder box is prized by vintage beauty product collectors. Powder is no longer in box but it is a treat to find its soft fleecy puff still has a subtle fragrance. Puff is lined with a mauve silk fabric.

Box measures 5 5/8 inches diameter and stands 3 1/2 inches. Top has a majenta shaped cloud with famous gold crown and du barry scrolled in gold.

Bottom is marked du barry div. Also on bottom is a gold ringed seal with a bird and fowers illustrated. Box is slightly stained and crown mark is worn. This item is made of heavy board, gild foil, fleece, silk and water colour paint.
