This vintage hazel atlas opalescent milk glass vanity jar, in the shape of a hen on a nest, is 3 1/2" in height, 3 3/8" in width, 4 1/4 in depth, and the glass fires with a prism of colors in bright light. As illustrated at 16 x magnification in photo #4; the perimeter of the lip of the lid almost right under the tail is a little rough. Can barely be seen with the naked eye, but can be felt with a fingertip and caught with a fingernail. It is nothing distracting, is virtually unnoticeable, yet present.
