Noritake Art Deco Lustre Ware Powder Box Lady In Flowered Bonnet And Dress
The lid of this attractive powder box has the back of a southern belle wearing a wide dress and bonnet decorated with colorful ribbons and flowers against an orange lustreware background. The underside of the round jar is marked with "m" for morimura in a wreath, crowned by "noritake" and below, "hand painted" and "made in japan" used from the early 1920's until around 1940. The porcelain box is in excellent condition with only very minor wear to the gilt edge on the lower part that does not detract. This item is made of porcelain and hand painted.
