Semi vitreous powder box, edwin m knowles, vintage. This pretty dish is a vintage powder box that was used to hold face powder and a puff' for application. It is three pieces the bottom bow, the round insert (that the puff rested upon), and the lid. Gold gilt is worn in areas from use, and there is a hairline fracture down the side, as shown in the photos.
