This is a nice musical powder box from the early 1900s. It is spun aluminum that was painted a pretty dusty rose. The top has a beautiful scene on tin. The way these work is that the music plays when the lid is lifted and stops when it is put back. It is in wonderful, shabby, timeworn condition. Some remnants of powder remain that even have a lovely fragrance. And as mentioned, the music box works as it should, and sounds great. The size is 3 1/2" high x 4 1/4" wide at the bottom.
