Sterling Silver Glass Vanity Jar, Embossed Urn and Foliate Decor with Engraved Monogram Antique 1910s Cream or Rouge Pot Box

Pretty antique sterling silver glass vanity jar is sized for storing rouge, powder, or creams, c. Small paneled glass pot has a screw on silver lid, embossed with beautiful urns and foliate garlands.

Edwardian era monogram cfa is elegant and laid out vertically. Lid has nice toning setting off the pattern. It has a good weight for its little size. A sweet dresser box for the boudoir.

Note: this is one of two identical boxes in our shop. Condition: loved and used with minor blemishes, including glass: tiny flea bites close to the bottom edges, a scratch going from one panel to the next (each about , one is partial). Looking at the mold seam on the rim there is an irregularity at the panel, looking like a mold release mark (it doesn't look or feel like a chip).

Rim looks complete (a little roughness at the seam where the lid covers the glass). Surface has two tiny pinpoint dimples along the edge of the decoration to the right of the monogram. Minor distortion along top edge, nearly invisible. Light gilding has some darker specks.

Some surface scratching, overall fine condition. Marks: sterling on the lid top (see photos). 1-5/8 high x 1-9/16 wide.
