Sterling Silver Top Roses Powder Dresser Vanity Jar La Pierre Antique

This is an antique american la pierre sterling silver top cut glass vanity or dresser powder jar with the original sterling topped powder puff. The jar is about 4" wide in the center of the glass, about 3-1/4" high and is marked on the top sterling with the logo for la pierre which represents the english pound sterling symbol. There is an ornate and elegant monogram on top which is quite decorative. It dates to about 1890-1900.

The top has little repousse roses, leaves and dots. The cut glass jar has a star on the bottom. It is rare to find the original powder puff, especially with the ornate sterling finial. Please note that there is a scent of the perfumed powder in the puff. The jar and silver top are in very good antique condition.

The lid fits snugly on the top. There are a couple of dings on the side of the sterling top and a small area of rippling in the silver, none of which are pronounced.

There is no damage to the glass, just a bit of scratches on bottom typical of old glass. Please ask questions before purchasing. This item is made of glass and sterling silver.
