Stunning Orange Glass Vanity Powder Jar and Lid with Sterling Silver Rim

This is an absolutely gorgeous accessory for your dressing table. It is a cut glass vanity jar in quite an unusual colour - you will not find many items like this in orange. The lid is also made of glass and it has a sterling silver rim. It is in excellent condition although there is a slight dent in the silver rim just below the hallmark. It has a wide base and is very sturdy.

Its height is 4.6 cm so the jar is quite shallow. The lid slips on and off easily - it is not a tight fit.

Diameter of base 14.5 cm. Diameter of lid 10.3 cm. Fully hallmarked: cs fs - maker's mark for cornelius desormeaux saunders & james francis hollings (frank) shepherd; london assay office, 1930. This item is made of glass and sterling silver.
