Victorian Locke s Shrub Hill Works Hand Painted Peacock Powder Jar

This is a circa 1900 english porcelain hand painted powder jar without its original lid. This powder jar features a beautiful peacock design which was typical of its manufacturing company-locke's shrub hill works in worcester, england. The jar is stamped as such on its bottom.

This peacock was hand painted and the artistic signed their name to the side. They manufactured many different porcelain items with all kinds of birds.

This piece has no chips or cracks. The jar measures about 5 3/4 in height and 3 1/4 at its most wide.

It would make a lovely addition to a vintage dressing table.
