Vintage DeVilbiss Kingfisher Bird 22K Gold and Glass Powder Box, Rare Art Deco Vanity Jar
4 1/2 3 excellent condition. During much of the 20th century, the devilbiss company of toledo, ohio, designed and produced some of the finest perfume bottles and vanity items ever. Offering a gorgeous 1920's yellow gold glass box, with an acid cut kingfisher bird design cut in to the glass, and then covered in thick enameled gold. He design on this piece is fabulous, with scrolling leaves and flowers, in addition to the lovely kingfisher bird on top.
Although unsigned, this powder box was part of a perfume set by devilbiss created in 1927. It could be used as a beautiful presentation box for jewelry, or as a trinket box on your vanity or dresser. If you have any questions or need additional pictures, please let me know also, please note these items are vintage and may contain normal wear and tear and may not be in perfect condition. I don't do the fancy staging that a lot of the shops do.
