Vintage early plastic powder pot - lightly used. From the 1930s and produced by berton of london.

Cream colour plastic powder pot with a screw on lid. The lid has a lovely raised design of dianthus. The underside is plain smooth plastic.

The berton mark is on the underneath of the base. It would have had an insert tray inside for the powder pad but sadly this is missing. The flower dianthus was considered a flower of the gods and came to symbolize admiration, passion, capriciousness, affection, love and gratitude so this powder pot would be a splendid gift for the one you love.

Measurements - 4" (10.1cm) wide at the top 3 5/8" (9.2cm) wide at the base. 1 5/8 (4.2cm) high.

Condition - this box has been gently used over the years and is in good condition having been stored away for the last few years wrapped in fabric. As mentioned before, the insert tray is missing so the powder pot has been priced to reflect this.
