Beautiful antique chinoiserie papier-mâché black powder box with lovely metal design inlay decorating around the body of the box and the perimeter and top. Naopleon iii period: mid to late 1800s. It is an old piece, from the late 1800s. There are signs of use, cracking of the lacquer at the base rim, which is completely normal for an item that would have been used every day when it contained powder but please zoom in and look closely at all the details. Diameter of base: 8.7cm.
