Vintage La Pierre Sterling Silver Topped Crystal Glass Vanity Powder Dresser Jar, Art Deco Mongrammed Lid PO'M

Vintage la pierre sterling silver topped crystal glass vanity/powder/dresser jar, art deco mongrammed lid "po'm". This is a nice large sterling silver topped crystal glass vanity jar.

Use it as a gorgeous display piece on your vanity/dresser or put your trinkets/jewelry orpowder/cosmetics in it for everyday use. The lid has a rectangular cartouche with a monogram that reads: "po'm" and art deco style vertical pinstripes surround the cartouche. Perhaps it belonged to an o'malley it was made c.

The lid is marked inside with the earlier la pierre hallmark: "l sterling". The lid sits on the jar snugly and it is not the more modern screw on type. The crystal glass jar has a beautiful fluted thumbprint design on the sides and a starburst on the bottom. The base of the jar measures 2.5" in diameter and the widest part of the jar measures approximately 5" in width. The opening of the jar measures 3 in diameter.

The entire piece with lid measures 3.25 tall. The sterling silver lid weighs 1.2 oz. This piece is in very good vintage condition considering its age. The lid has just a bit of tarnish on the inside rim.

No dents are apparent and only a couple minor surface scratches are noted on the top of the lid. The glass portion of the jar has a few minor flea bites on the flutes but they are really only apparent when you run your finger over the glass.
