Vintage Papier Mache Red Lacquer Powder Box Japanese Powder Puff Box Vanity Storage Antique Powder Puff Container 1920's

Beautifully decorated red lacquer papier mache powder puff box. Cylindrical shape with domed lid which lifts off. The lid has a mountain scene with a mother and child underneath a parasol being held by a man. The box has various scenes of entertainment with music and animals, perhaps the mother and child were going.

Gold coloured highlights to the decoration catch the light very well. Diameter 7cms or 2 3/4. Height with lid on is 6cms or 2 1/2.

The powder puff box is in good vintage condition with light cosmetic wear associated with use and storage. The odd scuff/mark to decoration and papier mache. This item is made of paper.
