Vintage sadler powder box cabbage rose floral spray round trinket jewelry box with lid and gold gilt accenting made in england james sadler. Founded by james sadler in stoke-on-trent, united kingdom. The sadler company has specialized in creating fine porcelain pieces since the 1800's. This round trinket box has a distinctly feminine design of pink cabbage roses throughout a floral spray. The transfer has been expertly applied and almost looks like a hand painted work of art the trinket box has been accented with 3 gold gilt rings. It measures approximately 2-1/2 tall with the lid on and 3-1/2 at the widest point.

The base has a slightly raised ring that the lid sets over. The base is embossed with sadler and england.

There are minor production imperfections; a small spot without glaze on the box, slight roughness on the lid lip and some small blemishes under the gold gilt on the top ring on the box. Nothing that takes away from the beauty of this wonderful piece additionally, there are no cracks, chips or repairs. The bottom embossed makers mark on the bottom of the box dates this piece between 1937 and 1950.
