Vintage hand painted tole vanity set. This is a matched set with a tissue cover and powder box. They feature pink roses tied with flowing blue ribbon painted on a deep burgundy color background.
The powder box has a wood knob on the top. It measures approximately 4 1/2" in diameter and is 3" tall not including the knob. The tissue cover has horizontal and vertical hanging options. The back slides on and off with some gentle persuasion. The tissue box measures approximately 10.25" x 5.5" x 2.5.As is common with mid-century household items these are used and it shows. Both items in this set have areas of paint loss to bare metal. Especially in areas where they were handled.
The tissue box has what appears to be water spots on the paint. The painted roses are actually in pretty good condition considering the age. Overall a nice vintage vanity set. The color is unusual and finding a matched set is quite difficult these days. These would fit nicely in mid century or retro decor.
