This vintage 1950s powder music box is so pretty and still works it was made in great britain and is marked on the interior edge of the mirror. The cover is a copper-toned metal with a black enamel top, blue roses, and copper foliage. The aluminum base is etched with concentric circles, giving it a neat texture. The interior has an intact mirror and a white plastic insert to hold lotion, powder, or jewelry. The music box still works and winds with no trouble.
I think the swiss company lador makes the music box movement. I found the same model with the original sticker online.
The tune it plays is sweet but i don't know the name. It is in good/fair condition. There are some surface scratches and dings.
It still presents nicely, but it is not pristine. Please review all the photos and videos. They are part of the description. Approximate dimensions: 3" diameter x 2" h. Please note that minor wear should be expected on vintage items. I do my best to list any flaws, but please inspect all photos.
