Vintage Volupte Petite Boudoir Vanity Powder Compact

Volupte's Vintage little compact that stands on its own legs. Imagine the excitement in the 50's when pulling out of the purse in a restaurant, party or cocktail lounge. The legs snap back for a neat easy carrying OR keep on the dressing table. Petite Boudoir is a perfect miniature of of the carved golden dressing table that Marie Antionette loved in her boudoir and is a part of the Volupte series of collector compacts.

The compact is in good condition especially for its age. The hinges, closure, legs all work and are in tact. The powder screen is original and other than signs of aging on both inside/outside mirrors as shown in the photo's. I have had this in my storage for over 30 years and it still makes me smile.

An important edition to collectors of compacts and decorative dressing table. It measures 3 1/4" w x 2". Both mirrors are bevelled and have gold braided rims. Please reach out with questions.
