Wedgwood Blue Jasperware Trinket Box Mythological Scene, Made in England

Wedgwood blue jasperware trinket/powder box with white applied relief decorations. 1.1/8 in depth (without lid). 15.1/4 in circumference (around base). This gorgeous box is muted by its' matte finish, characteristic of jasperware, and is enhanced with the white relief narratives from ancient greece and rome. The lid of this octagonal/scalloped box features a mythological scene contained within a lovely oakleaf and acorn border. The sides depict eight scenes of lovely cherubs at play, dancing, catching butterflies, etc. The bottom of the box has an impressed mark with made in england wedgwood s 8. The box is in excellent condition for its' vintage age and previous use. Always be aware that vintage pieces should be considered pre-owned, may have been previously used and may have wear consistent with vintage age. Note, the box has not been cleaned. Possibly tiny blemishes, but no significant issues like scratches, chips or previous repairs.
