This beautiful powder pot or trinket box is in a lovely pale green that is a very 1930s/40s, art deco colour. It has beautiful art deco geometric lines and detailing and has 3 small legs, or feet, another classic art deco design feature. The pot has a lid with a picture of a georgian woman under a sheet of clear early plastic, in a gilt metal frame. Marked'dubarry' on the base, it was probably made in the 1930s or 1940s. It is made of a good quality early plastic usually described as bakelite, particularly in the uk.
In very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, with some wear to the gilt metal. There are also a few small pale cream marks in the bowl - please see last photo.
